Our purpose as the Friendship Christian Church Ministries is to allow the Kingdom of God to manifest through us, by the Holy Spirit transforming us into the likeness of Jesus Christ, ourSavior and Lord: (Romans 8:29, NLT; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, NLT)

Through Mental/Emotional Health Care

Through Literacy Training

Through Tutorial Ministry

Through Medical Health Screenings

Through other educational training for adults such as: Basic Computer Skills, Money Management and Budgeting, etc.

Housing for the Elderly

Meet Our Pastor

About Pastor Lorenza Huggins Jr.

Pastor Lorenza F. Huggins Jr., is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and has lived there all of his life. Pastor Huggins is the Senior Pastor of the Friendship Christian Church Ministries where we are “Making Disciples of Christ through the Teachings of Christ”. Pastor Huggins is married to the lovely Mrs. Vickie Smith Huggins and has three sons, Rodriguez (Adrianne), Christopher (Mary) and Matthew. He also has four granddaughters, Erin Nacole, Jazzmine, Olivia Rose and Jianna Melissa and two grandsons, Dallas Jermaine and Judah. Pastor Huggins was educated in the Birmingham Public School System and has attended several colleges. Among those colleges are University of Alabama Birmingham, Samford University, Faulkner University,Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College, Birmingham Theological Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary/Lovell College. Pastor Huggins resigned his managerial position at the Birmingham News Company where he was employed 23 years, to dedicate the remainder of his life to the full time service of the Lord. Pastor Huggins has served as the Senior Pastor of the Friendship Christian Church Ministries for twenty five years; enjoying the opportunities and success that pastoring brings.
